ST. LOUIS – Nearly 200 University of Missouri-St. Louis student-athletes were recognized on Thursday (Jan. 30) night during halftime of the women's basketball game as part of Academic Appreciation Night for attaining a 3.25 grade point average or higher during the Fall 2024 semester.
As a department, UMSL's student-athletes posted a cumulative GPA of 3.06 and recorded 62 straight A's. 75 percent earned higher than 3.0 and 17 athletic programs boasted a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA.
The women's tennis team led all teams with a 3.694 GPA, while men's golf (3.68), women's basketball (3.61), volleyball (3.58) and men's tennis (3.57) rounded out the top five.
